I need to either replace my na transmission or rebuild it. I'm going to school right now to be an auto tech and I will have a class dedicated to automatic transmissions. To replace it would cost a lot of money but I can rebuild it for a fraction of that. I want to buy a rebuild kit and I need to replace my shift solenoid. Has anyone done this specific of a rebuild? I'll have three weeks to do it so I'm not worried about time. What would be some of the problems(aside from obvious ones) that I may encounter? Also could someone recommend a brand/website to buy the rebuild kit from? Have any of you swapped in the transmission from another vehicle? I have a list of other cars the transmission is in but I'm hesitant about using one of them because there may be slight differences. It may all be in my head. Any other information would be incredibly helpful. I have searched both the internet and this website and i find vague information or information only pertaining to the swap to a manual.
